Matt and I have had the privilege to spend several (I think 5 now) vacations with my family at Donner Lake (near Tahoe). We absolutely love it there. This was Kylie's first year and she had a blast. She loved the water, napped and slept great, and was just so easy and happy the whole trip. The long drive wasn't too bad either. Jim and Rachel and their new adorable adopted son, Jadon (I'll post about him soon) weren't able to make it this year, but hopefully next.

GWE II
The first Greatest Weekend Ever (AKA Mother/Daughter Weekend) was 4 years ago in St Louis, MO. At the time, Lindy was pregnant with her first girl, Cara and I were married with no kids, and Anna was engaged. Now at our second GWE, in Davis, Lindy has 2 girls, Cara and I each have 1, and Anna is pregnant with her first. So fun to see our families growing!!

She's not quite able to rock herself yet, but Kylie sure did love the horsie at her grandparent's house

Firsts
Here are a few "first" things we've been up to...Most of these happened a few weeks ago but still wanted to post them.
Hi-Ho Hi-Ho It's off to work he goes....Matt's first day of his new job...so far it's going great! And no, he doesn't wear a suit every day, just trying to make a good impression:)
First Annual Preemie Party at Little Company Hospital. Here is Kylie with some of our fav NICU nurses who cared for her during the night- Kristy and Christa. Kylie had done a ton this day and was completely wiped, so yes, she konked out in Matt's arms.
This one is a bit of a stretch- first 2 year olds birthday party. We celebrated Miles turning 2. Miles' mom, Casey, is who I'm going to jobshare with next year- in the Ref costume. It was a sports themed party and creative Casey went all out in the decor.
First clip in Kylie's hair...I think it only held about 3 hairs but I still thought it looked super cute...I'm excited for more clips in the future. (Thanks again Lindy for the cute clips!)
First time Kylie wore one of my dresses from when I was a baby.
First Comes Love, then Comes Marriage, then Comes a Baby in the Baby Carriage
I had the privilege of helping out with 2 showers for my dear friends Jen and Megan on back to back weekends. Here's a group shot of those that attended Jen's wedding shower.
It was catered by Stone Fire Grill- yum!
The hostesses with Jen- don't you love her cute dress?!
Megan's Baby Boy Shower was in our backyard. It was so fun to get to use our yard for an event. I hope there are many more fun events to come in this yard!
Special shout out to Rachel for letting us borrow your plates and glasses and to Jen, for your tablecloths. Thank you. Loved them!
The hostesses with Megan- doesn't she look great?! I think she is about 30 weeks here.

Waiting...
I'm waiting for us to get a new computer to be able to update my blog. I apologize for the long delay...I've thought of many blog posts in my head and hope to be able to post pictures soon. When Matt started his new job, he had to send his laptop back to his employer. That was the computer we stored all our pictures on and are unable to do so on the one I'm using now...so here's a few pics I took on my phone today.
Kylie's new toy- the exersaucer. It's a bit of stimulation overload but she seems to like it so far, especially when she figures out how to make something play music. I'll put it in the kitchen while I'm making dinner....that way, I've got my eye on her and can watch the news, but she can't see the TV.
