All Aboard!

Last weekend we went to check out Little Steamers, free mini train rides at Wilson Park in Torrance, offered twice a month. It was super cool. Kylie and I enjoyed a 20 minute ride...it was fun waving to people on other trains as we passed them and even going through a little tunnel, all for free! There is a great Farmer's Market there on Saturdays too so you can enjoy both- I highly recommend it.







After the train we enjoyed a picnic lunch. And I finally made a carseat cover, as shown in the picture. I'm happy with how it turned out and it's been great for getting Evie to fall and stay asleep in her carseat.

5 on Friday

1. Evie turned 3 months old last week. We love her smiles and coos. She is sleeping well, normally just waking up once at 5:30AM to eat and then going back down til 7. However, last night I was up 3 times with her- hoping to not repeat that tonight.

3. My mom came last weekend for a super fun visit. Unfortunately I didn't take any pics! Jim, Rachel, and Jadon came up on Monday and my mom took us out to Chick-Fil-A for lunch.


4. I was excited to use Kylie's trike as a tandem for the first time, but as soon as Rachel, Jim and my mom figured out how to do it, it started raining so the kids didn't really get to use it. I think the adults were more excited about it than the kids.


5. We had a low key mellow Valentine's Day. Kylie got a balloon from Daddy and had her first doughnut for breakfast. One fun thing Matt and I did was to cook dinner together and eat after the kids went to sleep. It was a nice, relaxing way to spend the evening. We made butternut squash risotto- pretty good but I learned I do not like fresh sage at all- yuck!

Winter Schminter

We had another weekend with beautiful weather and enjoyed a lot of time outdoors. On Saturday we ran and played at the beach, then had a picnic lunch in our backyard and outdoor naps for Matt and I. On Sunday we drove the girls to Trump Golf Course and enjoyed a beautiful hike. Matt kept checking out a localized surf spot and tried to figure out how he could get down there. I see another day here in our near future with Matt bringing his board...
