Girls Just Wanna Have

Here's some of the fun these 2 have been having...

Pretty sure you're not supposed to be a real baby in the doll's stroller but of course we had to try

Hanging out in the hotel room

Arm wrestling already (you may think that Ky has the advantage but my Dad has nicknamed Evie 'Evergrip' so they are actually pretty even)

Enjoying tummy time together

Really hard to get them both smiling at the same time

And yes, Evie is 5 months already! We went to the dr for a weight check and she is 13lbs 6 oz (Ky was 13lb 1 oz at 5 months so Evie is just barely hanging on with the lead). The dr was really pleased with her weight gain and also said her tortacollis looked much better in just a month- yay! Although in this pic she is def showing the head tilt

Cody's Wedding

We spent the weekend in Carpinteria for my dear friend Cody's wedding. She was my first friend in college and it was such a beautiful event. Both girls came with us- both of their first weddings which makes me think we haven't been to a wedding in 2 1/2 years, wow. Anyways, it was quite a different experience having your kids at a wedding with you but they both did great- allowed us to stay til 9pm, and once I strapped Evie in the ergo she fell asleep and even allowed me to get a few dances in. It felt way too brief but it was still so fun to get to see my college friends- hope we can spend some more time together soon!!

My college buds: Jess, Monique, Debra, Cody, Christa, Kristen...sorry you missed this pic Kel!

my little sweetie

Kylie had fun sitting next to Riley at dinner

and we ran into them at the beach the next day too! Perfect beach weather.

We took the coast route on the way home and made a little stop at Duke's in Malibu for a delicious piece of Hula Mud Pie...and yes, we ate it ALL!

Such a nice family getaway! And we are so happy for Cody and Alex and loved getting to celebrate with them.

D-Town

I took the girls to Davis last week since Matt had to go to NY for work. We had a blast! I survived the flight (the girls actually did surprisingly really well) but unfortunately 1 of my checked bags didn't make it- the one that had all the girls stuff- ugghh! Thankfully Grandma bought the girls these matching Easter PJ's since I literally had nothing for them and the airlines called later that night and told me my bag had come in on the next flight- phew!

Making Rice Krispies Treats

Here are Ky and Grandpa right before they left for their double decker bus adventure (apparently the new double deckers are awesome with floor to ceiling glass in the front, like being in a helicopter)

Kylie enjoyed my old light brights which I think I played with for countless hours as a kid- good fine motor skills practice for her!

Fun times at Whaleback park

Kylie also enjoyed several play dates. First, I lucked out because good friends Anna and Cara were in Davis at the same time! (visiting from Virginia and UK) We got all the kids together for a play date during the day and the 3 of us went out for an awesome girls night that evening! We missed you Lindy:( Cara and I also ran into each other at the Farmer's Market, where this pic was taken (the babies are in our matching ergos) Kayli and Kylie are 3 weeks apart:)

Ky had another playdate with Riley, Jess drove to my parents house for the morning and we had a fun time hanging out! We'll see each other at a wedding this weekend too so it will be nice that the girls already know each other.

I have way more pics of Ky than Evie since she spent a lot of time in the ergo, but here she is practicing her tummy time which she's getting much better at, and I can tell her neck is more flexible too

We drove out to the UC Davis sheep barns during feeding time

And I even got to celebrate Gabi's baby boy on the way at her shower! And personally congratulate Shannon on her engagement:)

Such a fun trip but we really missed Daddy too and are glad to be home!
