Matt turned 33 last weekend. We enjoyed a mellow day with family, friends, good food, and watching tennis. For breakfast- blueberry pancakes and eggs. Lunch- grilled cheese sandwiches with avocado and red onion- delicious if you've never tried. Dinner and dessert with friends Ali and Wes and bro John- Wildflour pizza and spinach salad (love!) and dessert- homemade carrot cake and vanilla ice cream- our first time using our ice cream maker since we got it as a wedding present 7 years ago. Yum!
It was nice to be able to enjoy Monday together too since Matt lifeguarded all day Sat. We went on a short hike up in PV in Malaga Cove and then enjoyed a delicious pastry at The Yellow Vase- I've been wanting to try this place in the Riviera forever so was pleasantly surprised to see that they have one in Malaga Cove too- a darling restaurant- highly recommend!
