Last weekend we flew to Sacramento to visit my parents and go to a wedding in San Francisco. We flew in Friday afternoon, hung out with grandma and grandpa, then left the girls with them and drove to the city Saturday afternoon. The wedding was for my dear high school friend Shannon- we went to college together too and I couldn't be happier that she found Brian. They got married at the Presidio with gorgeous views- even had the Golden Gate Bridge in the background.
The 9 of us reunited again- so many memories with these lovely ladies!!
Matt and I spent half of Sunday (which happened to be Superbowl Sunday so lots of niners hype- so sad they lost) touring the city. It was a gorgeous day- we drove around the presidio, walked near the Golden Gate so Matt could check out a surf spot, drove down Lombard street (scary driving up to it in my mom's stick shift car!), hung out at Union Square, and enjoyed clam chowder at Fisherman's Warf. It was a wonderful break from the girls and so fun to have a day to ourselves. We made it back to Davis in time to see the niners lose.
One of Grandpa and Kylie's favorite things to do in Davis is ride the bus- especially the new double decker buses. On Monday we made it our mission to all ride one together. I think it took 4 bus switches but we eventually got on a double decker and enjoyed the scenic view from the front row.
A wonderful weekend away. A huge thank you to my parents for watching the girls while we were away. We got home Monday night and Matt left for the Chicago Auto Show Wed morning. Us girls are feeling under the weather so we can't wait for Daddy to get home tonight!
